Mai Image 2 ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our AI image generation service at maiimage2.net, how we use it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following categories:
Account Information — When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. We do not store your Google password.
User Content — Text prompts you enter and reference images you upload for AI image generation. Generated output images and their associated metadata (timestamp, resolution, model parameters).
Usage & Technical Data — IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, feature usage patterns, and error logs. This data helps us maintain service quality and diagnose issues.
Payment Information — If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive only your transaction ID, plan type, and the last 4 digits of your card. We never store full card numbers.
Cookies & Analytics — We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors interact with the site. See Section 5 for details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide the service — Process your prompts and images through the AI model and return generated results.
- Manage your account — Authenticate your identity, track credit usage, and manage subscriptions.
- Improve the service — Analyze aggregate usage patterns to optimize performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you — Send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, credit alerts). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
- Ensure security — Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.
3. AI Data Processing
How your prompts and images are processed:
When you submit a prompt or upload a reference image, your input is sent to Microsoft's AI image generation API (MAI-Image-2) for processing. The generated image is returned to you and temporarily stored on our servers for delivery.
Data retention:
- Uploaded reference images are deleted from our servers within 24 hours after processing.
- Generated images are available for download during your session. We do not permanently archive generated images unless you explicitly save them to your account.
- Text prompts may be retained in anonymized, aggregated form for service improvement. No prompts are linked back to individual users after anonymization.
Model training:
- Your prompts and images submitted through our API are not used to train or fine-tune AI models. Microsoft's API terms prohibit using customer API data for model training.

We rely on the following third-party services to operate Mai Image 2:
Each provider processes data under their own privacy policy and data processing agreements. We select providers that meet GDPR and CCPA compliance standards.

Analytics Cookies — Google Analytics cookies help us understand traffic patterns, popular features, and user journeys. These cookies collect anonymized data. You can opt out by disabling cookies in your browser settings or using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or retargeting networks.

- Data at rest is encrypted on our cloud infrastructure.
